Be The 1 Youth Non-Profit Organization was founded in July 2024 by Moelyk Lomax, with the support and help of Ricardo Mangino, and Pairiryeon Logan. Moelyk has always had a passion of doing work bigger than himself, by giving to others and supporting his family and others in the community. As a teenager he became introduced to a life of crime, which led to being in prison for a total of 6 years.  During his incarceration he became inspired to make complete a change within himself. This change was the beginning of the process of becoming what this program is built upon. Knowing the struggles the youth in the cities of Erie and Pittsburgh have and are currently facing, and the need both cities have for strong leadership and guidence, this program was created.  Gathering a team of like-minded individuals with the same vision of making a difference, Be The 1 is quickly moving forward to make an impact on the lives of our youth.
